Any application that attempts to make life a bit easier for you is to applaud. This is the main reason why you should try Epson EasyPrint. Outside of that, the software is not necessarily a must have because its alternative can be passed on.
What Epson EasyPrint attempts to do is for you not to have to select the printer settings anytime you need to print a page. You still need to select the printer and click on the print button. The software might be helpful for those who regularly modify their print settings.
Furthermore, Epson EasyPrint is able to prevent conflict between any application you need to print from and your printer's driver settings. Regarding that last feature, the software can be very useful given the number of times this kind of conflict occur.
When you find the program Epson Easy Photo Print 2, click it, and then do one of the following: Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall. Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program). Can you right-click on the program or shortcut you call ' Easy Photo Print' and select the 'Run As Administrator' option? Do so even if your user is an Admin. See if that works.
I contacted Epson and this is what they emailed back.

Please be advised that this error has to do with the operating system restriction that assigned the software or application to be a 'read only' file. If you are logged in as administrator on the computer, you can assign the program to be a read and write file or in other words, you will allow or change the permission option on the computer for this application. If you don't know exactly how to locate this option on your computer, we advised you contact Microsoft to get assistance. Hope this is of some use .

Epson Easy Photo Print Update
Epson EasyPrint works with Windows XP, XP 64-bit, 2000, Vista 32-bit, Vista 64-bit, 7 32-bit, 7 64-bit, PowerPC Macs with OS X (v10.3.9 - 10.5.x) and Intel-based Macs (v10.4.4 - 10.5.x).
So it does seem to be compatible with Windows 7.
I would download the most current version from the link above and see if you may have corruption in your version.
Uninstall the older versiion first and then download and reinstall.
